The Crash!

You were there when I braked,
You were there when I crashed,
You were there when I cried,
You were there...

I wanted to leave,
I wanted to die,
I wished I had never survived,

You wanted to bring peace,
You sent a messenger of grace,
An angel with an unlikely face.

A woman by the road-side,
Who spoke kind,
And opened her arms wide.

A man of the law,
Who didn't point out my fault,
Just fixed what he saw.

These were notes of love,
In tangible form,
Sent from heaven above.
Just to let me know,

You were there when I braked,
